    The Experience

The Mini Rancher Kids’ Adventure is a confidence-building, hands-on ranch experience created especially for children ages 3–12 who are curious about animals and eager to experience what real ranch life looks like.

This is more than meeting animals — it’s learning by doing. Young ranchers don’t just observe; they actively participate in guided, age-appropriate ranch activities. Children spend meaningful time with our miniature Highland cattle and other ranch livestock, learning how to approach animals calmly, assist with feeding, practice gentle grooming, and begin understanding responsibility, patience, and respect for livestock.

The pace is intentional, supportive, and child-focused. Each child is given space to build confidence at their own comfort level while asking questions, trying new tasks, and connecting with the animals in a safe, encouraging environment. Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities for photos, conversation, and moments parents will remember long after the day is over.

This experience feels empowering, joyful, and genuinely special — the kind of ranch memory kids talk about for weeks afterward.

Why Parents Choose the Mini Rancher Kids’ Adventure

    • Longer and more immersive than a simple Meet & Greet
    • Guided, child-focused participation rather than passive observation
    • Designed to build confidence, responsibility, and animal awareness
    • Slower pace that allows children to engage at their own comfort level
    • Each child earns an official Certified Mini Ranch Hand certificate

    What’s Included

Children may participate in and observe:

    • Guided, hands-on interaction with miniature livestock
    • Supervised feeding time with age-appropriate instruction and safety guidance
    • Gentle brushing and bonding with select animals
    • Introduction to daily ranch routines and responsibilities
    • Photo opportunities throughout the experience
    • An official Certified Mini Ranch Hand certificate awarded at the end

The Certified Mini Ranch Hand certificate is a commemorative keepsake and does not represent professional training, certification, or competency.

Exposure to other ranch livestock, such as goats, may be included if it aligns with the day’s ranch operations and safety considerations.

Specific animals, activities, or tasks are not guaranteed and depend on animal behavior, weather conditions, safety considerations, and ranch operations on the day of the experience.

Make It a Full Ranch Day

The Mini Rancher Kids’ Adventure pairs beautifully with other guided ranch experiences, including:

    • Mini-Moo Meet & Greet
    • Mini Livestock Adventure
    • Ranch Realities: The ENTIRE Ranch Experience

Many families choose to combine experiences to create a longer, customized ranch visit.

    Important Information

    • This experience takes place entirely outdoors on a working ranch with uneven terrain and live animals. Closed-toe shoes are required. Weather-appropriate clothing is strongly encouraged.
    • Children must remain under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian at all times. Chasing Dreams Ranch staff do not provide child supervision.
    • Livestock are animals with natural behaviors and can be unpredictable. While every reasonable safety measure is taken, participation in all activities is voluntary and at the guest’s discretion.
    • Animal interaction time may vary based on animal temperament, weather, and ranch operations.
    • Experiences begin promptly at the scheduled start time. Late arrivals may result in reduced participation time and do not extend the session.
    • All guests must complete a liability waiver prior to participation. A photo and media release is included as part of the waiver.

    Scope of Experience

This experience is educational and observational in nature. Participation does not grant, imply, or substitute for professional training, certification, licensure, or competency in livestock handling, animal care, or ranch activities.

    Educational & Veterinary Disclaimer
