The Mini Livestock Adventure is a hands-on, educational ranch experience designed for adults and older youth who want a deeper, more informative introduction to miniature livestock — without committing to a full-day intensive.

This guided experience intentionally sits between a casual meet-and-greet and our advanced immersion offerings. Guests spend meaningful time learning about miniature Highland cattle while gaining practical insight into daily care routines, handling fundamentals, and how a working ranch truly functions.

Rather than simply observing, guests are invited into the why behind ranch routines. From feeding and handling basics to pasture layout and daily responsibilities, this experience offers a relaxed, approachable look at what responsible miniature livestock ownership actually involves.

Ideal for animal lovers, hobby farmers, future homesteaders, or anyone curious about raising miniature livestock, the Mini Livestock Adventure provides clarity, confidence, and a realistic understanding of ranch life — without overwhelm.

This experience takes place outdoors on our working ranch in West Texas.

Guests may participate in and observe:

• Guided educational interaction with miniature Highland cattle
• Supervised feeding time with discussion on nutrition and daily care considerations
• Hands-on brushing and livestock handling fundamentals
• Introduction to pasture layout, fencing considerations, shelter basics, and ranch flow
• Walkthrough of daily routines and responsibilities involved in livestock care
• Ample personal photo opportunities throughout the experience

Exposure to other ranch livestock, such as goats, may be included if it aligns with the day’s ranch operations and safety considerations.

Specific animals, activities, or tasks are not guaranteed and depend on animal behavior, safety considerations, weather, and ranch operations on the day of the experience.

• This experience is an agritourism activity as defined under Texas law and involves inherent risks associated with farm and ranch environments, including livestock behavior, uneven terrain, equipment, weather conditions, and physical exertion.
• This experience involves physical activity typical of a working ranch environment.
• Closed-toe shoes are required. Weather-appropriate clothing is strongly encouraged.
• Children under 18 must remain under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian at all times. Chasing Dreams Ranch staff do not provide child supervision.
• Livestock are animals with natural behaviors and can be unpredictable. Participation in all activities is voluntary and at the guest’s discretion.
• Guests acknowledge that participation may involve physical exertion, fatigue, and exposure to animal waste, dust, and allergens.
• Space is limited, and advance booking is recommended. Experiences begin promptly at the scheduled start time. Late arrivals may result in reduced participation time and do not extend the session.
• All guests must complete a liability waiver prior to participation. A photo and media release is included as part of the waiver.
• In the event of severe weather or ranch safety concerns, sessions will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

WARNING:
Under Texas law (Chapter 75A, Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code), an agritourism entity is not liable for injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if the injury or death results from the inherent risks of agritourism activities.

Inherent risks include, but are not limited to, risks associated with land, equipment, weather, and animals, as well as the potential for participants to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to injury or death.
