The Experience
Ranch Kids: Unplugged is a structured, confidence-building, hands-on ranch program created especially for children ages 5–13 who are curious about animals and eager to experience what real ranch life looks like — whether they live in the city or the country.
This is more than meeting animals — it’s learning by doing. Young ranchers don’t just observe; they actively participate in guided, age-appropriate ranch activities. Children spend meaningful time working with our miniature Highland and Highland-cross cattle and may also gain exposure to goats and/or pigs depending on ranch operations, safety considerations, and animal temperament.
Along the way, children are introduced to daily ranch routines and basic livestock care responsibilities in a supportive, step-by-step environment.
The pace is intentional, structured, and child-focused. Each child is given space to build confidence at their own comfort level while asking questions, trying new tasks, and connecting with the animals in a safe, encouraging setting. There are plenty of opportunities for photos, conversation, and moments parents will remember long after the day is over.
This experience feels empowering, meaningful, and genuinely special — the kind of ranch memory kids talk about for weeks afterward.

WARNING:
Under Texas law (Chapter 75A, Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code), an agritourism entity is not liable for injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if the injury or death results from the inherent risks of agritourism activities.
Inherent risks include, but are not limited to, risks associated with land, equipment, weather, and animals, as well as the potential for a participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to injury or death.
By booking this experience or entering Chasing Dreams Ranch, participants and supervising adults acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.
Because children don’t just meet animals here — they grow in confidence, responsibility, and connection while creating memories that last far beyond the ranch.
